Structurally, HUMAN MCP-1 dimerizes and consists of four regions of the β-sheet. Recombinant human MCP-1 is an 8.6 kDa protein containing 76 amino acid residues, including four highly conserved cysteine residues. The MCP family exhibits cross-reactivity across different species.
