Uses

Used in Pharmaceutical Applications:
Pulchinenoside B4 is used as a therapeutic agent for the prevention of cisplatin-induced nephrotoxicity. It is effective in reducing plasma blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and creatinine levels, which are markers of kidney injury, in a mouse model of cisplatin-induced nephrotoxicity.
Used in Anti-Inflammatory Applications:
Pulchinenoside B4 is used as an anti-inflammatory agent for the prevention of xylene-induced ear edema in mice in a dose-dependent manner. It also inhibits LPS-induced increases in serum TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-1β levels in a mouse model of LPS-induced systemic inflammation.
Used in Antioxidant Applications:
Pulchinenoside B4 is used as an antioxidant agent for the inhibition of cisplatin-induced apoptosis and modulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) production in HEK293 cells. It also has the potential to increase superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase activities, which are essential for maintaining cellular redox balance and preventing oxidative stress.
