146665-77-2 Usage
Description
Eptaplatin, also known as SKI-2053R, is a third-generation platinum complex alkylating agent used in the treatment of various types of cancer. It is a white crystalline powder with less nephrotoxicity than cisplatin and has demonstrated high activity against various cell lines, including cisplatin-resistant tumor cell lines.
Uses
Used in Anticancer Applications:
Eptaplatin is used as an anticancer agent for the treatment of patients with advanced gastric adenocarcinoma, cervix cancer, and other solid malignancies. It has shown activity comparable or superior to cisplatin or carboplatin in in vitro experiments and in mice implanted with L1210 cells and human tumor xenograft KATO III (stomach adenocarcinoma). In patients with unresectable or metastatic gastric adenocarcinoma, Eptaplatin has been found to be active without significant hematological toxicity.
Used in Drug Development:
Eptaplatin is used as a potential candidate for the development of novel drug delivery systems to enhance its applications and efficacy against cancer cells. Various organic and metallic nanoparticles can be employed as carriers for Eptaplatin delivery, aiming to improve its delivery, bioavailability, and therapeutic outcomes.
Used in Clinical Trials:
Eptaplatin is used in Phase III trials for the treatment of various other cancers, including lung, head, and neck cancers, due to its promising results in preclinical studies and initial clinical trials.
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
Eptaplatin is used as a key component in the development of new anticancer drugs, contributing to the advancement of cancer treatment options and improving patient outcomes.
Brand Name:
Eptaplatin is marketed under the brand name Sunpla.
Originator
SK Pharma (Korea)
Pharmaceutical Applications
heptaplatin is further examples of platinum-based agents being used in China and South
Korea, respectively. Heptaplatin
is used in South Korea to treat gastric cancer. It show the typical side effects such as
myelosuppression and mild hepatotoxicity. its success is limited and has not led to approval in the EU
or by the FDA.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 146665-77-2 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,4,6,6,6 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 146665-77:
(8*1)+(7*4)+(6*6)+(5*6)+(4*6)+(3*5)+(2*7)+(1*7)=162
162 % 10 = 2
So 146665-77-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
