1934-20-9 Usage
Description
CROCEIN ORANGE G is a bright orange-colored, orange-red powder that is soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, and slightly soluble in acetone and soluble fiber element. It is insoluble in other organic solvents. The color and lustre of CROCEIN ORANGE G remain unchanged in strong sulfuric acid, while in nitric acid, it turns brown and then red. Its water solution turns gold orange when mixed with strong hydrochloric acid, and the color remains unchanged when 10% sodium carbonate solution is added. However, when thick sodium hydroxide solution is added, the color changes to palm orange.
Uses
Used in Textile Industry:
CROCEIN ORANGE G is used as a direct dye for fiber dyeing and printing on wool, silk, cotton, and vinegar fiber. It is known for its light fastness, soaping fastness, perspiration fastness, oxygen bleaching fastness, and fastness to seawater, with ratings of ISO 4, 1, 2, 2-3, and 1, respectively, and AATCC 4, 2-3, 2-3, and 2.
Used in Paper and Leather Industry:
CROCEIN ORANGE G is also used for dyeing in the paper and leather industries.
Used as an Indicator:
In addition to its dyeing applications, CROCEIN ORANGE G is used as an indicator due to its color-changing properties in the presence of different chemicals and conditions.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 1934-20-9 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 1,9,3 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1934-20:
(6*1)+(5*9)+(4*3)+(3*4)+(2*2)+(1*0)=79
79 % 10 = 9
So 1934-20-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
