Description
Apricoxib, also known as DG-041, is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that functions as an orally active, selective COX-2 inhibitor. It is primarily recognized for its analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties, and it also holds potential in the realm of cancer treatment due to its ability to inhibit COX-2, which can contribute to reduced tumor growth and enhanced therapeutic outcomes.
Uses
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
Apricoxib is used as an analgesic and anti-inflammatory agent for the management of pain and inflammation associated with various conditions, such as arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute pain post-surgery.
Additionally, Apricoxib is used as an anticancer agent due to its COX-2 inhibition properties. This inhibition can lead to a reduction in tumor growth and an augmentation of the effectiveness of cancer therapies. The drug's potential in cancer treatment is an area of ongoing research and development.
Enzyme inhibitor
This oral COX-2 inhibitor (FW = 356.44 g/mol; CAS 162011-90-7), also
named CS-706 and 4-[2- (4-ethoxyphenyl) -4-methyl-1H-pyrrol-1-yl]-
benzene sulfonamide, targets Cyclooxygenase-2, which is over-
expressed in advanced stage non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC), possibly
as a result of elevated levels of COX-2-dependent prostaglandin E2 (PGE2).
That said, a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multicenter
phase II study found little evidence of efficacy of apricoxib in
combination with either docetaxel or pemetrexed in patients with
biomarker-selected NSCLC. See also Rofecoxib
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 197904-84-0 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,9,7,9,0 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 197904-84:
(8*1)+(7*9)+(6*7)+(5*9)+(4*0)+(3*4)+(2*8)+(1*4)=190
190 % 10 = 0
So 197904-84-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

gamma-alkenyl ketone and preparation method thereof
-
, (2020/02/29)
The invention discloses a gamma-alkenyl ketone preparation method, wherein the target product can be obtained at high yield and high regioselectivity by using acetophenone and 1,3-butadiene as raw materials in the presence of an organic solvent, a catalyst, an additive and a ligand. According to the invention, the method has advantages of high atom economy, high regioselectivity, high yield and the like, can achieve the efficient conversion from a cheap basic organic chemical product 1,3-butadiene to high-added-value gamma-alkenyl ketone, and uses the cheap catalyst, so that the reaction conditions are neutral and mild, and the experimental operation is safe and simple; and the synthesized gamma-alkenyl ketone is a useful synthetic intermediate, can be subjected to a series of conversionsto obtain a series of drug molecule precursors or key intermediates, and has wide application prospect.
