Description
2-Ethylhexyl Stearate is an ester compound commonly used in the cosmetic industry as a cream-type cleansing agent. It is characterized by its large oil phase content, which allows it to effectively cleanse the skin without causing excessive dryness.
Uses
Used in Cosmetic Industry:
2-Ethylhexyl Stearate is used as a cleansing agent for its ability to remove dirt, oil, and makeup from the skin while maintaining the skin's natural moisture balance. Its large oil phase content contributes to its effectiveness as a cream-type cleansing compound.
Additionally, due to its emollient properties, 2-Ethylhexyl Stearate can also be used as a skin conditioning agent in various cosmetic formulations, such as lotions, creams, and moisturizers, to provide a smooth and soft texture to the skin.
Flammability and Explosibility
Nonflammable
Safety Profile
A skin and eye irritant. Whenheated to decomposition it emits acrid smoke andirritating vapors.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 22047-49-0 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 2,2,0,4 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 22047-49:
(7*2)+(6*2)+(5*0)+(4*4)+(3*7)+(2*4)+(1*9)=80
80 % 10 = 0
So 22047-49-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Preparation method of low-polarity grease
-
Paragraph 0067; 0068; 0069, (2018/06/16)
The invention relates to the fields of fine chemical products, and particularly provides a preparation method of low-polarity grease. The method comprises the following steps: performing contact reaction between acyl chloride and fatty alcohol in the presence of a solvent and an acid binding agent, and performing separation to obtain a grease product. The synthetic method provided by the inventionenables the fatty alcohol and the acyl chloride to be subjected to nucleophilic substitution reaction which does not have reverse reaction (a by-product is hydrochloric acid), the reaction yield of the nucleophilic substitution reaction is generally higher than that of general esterification reaction, the process is simple, reaction conditions are mild, and the final yield is as high as 80%. Themethod provided by the invention can be used for preparing colorless and tasteless products which are easy to store and good in stability.
