The method comprises the following steps: under the action of a palladium catalyst, a ligand and alkali, reacting o-bromophenyl cyclobutanone of a formula 1 structure with terminal alkyne of a formula 2 structure in a solvent at 80-100 DEG C for 12-24 hours, and separating and purifying a product after the reaction is finished to obtain the o-alkynyl phenyl cyclobutanone of a formula I structure. The invention also provides the preparation method of naphthalenone. The method is simple, raw materials are easy to obtain, and the prepared product is high in yield.
