Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 33560-61-1 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 3,3,5,6 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 33560-61:
(7*3)+(6*3)+(5*5)+(4*6)+(3*0)+(2*6)+(1*1)=101
101 % 10 = 1
So 33560-61-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

EFFECT OF IONIC ASSOCIATION ON THE KINETICS OF THE REACTION OF TRIARYLMETHYL CATIONS WITH ALKALI-METAL ETHOXIDES IN MIXED SOLVETS

Sinev, V. V.,Strel'nikova, G. I.

, p. 987 - 992 (2007/10/02)

The kinetics of the reaction of triarylmethyl ions with sodium and potassium ethoxides in binary ethanol-dioxane and ethanol-benzene systems were studied by a spectrophotometric method.A method is proposed for the separation of the observed rate constants into ion and ion-pair components. It was shown that the effect of the solvent polarity on the ionic components of the kinetic parameters of reactions of the investigated type agrees quantitatively with electrostatic theory.
