34813-62-2 Usage

General Description

1,5-DIISOCYANATO-2-METHYLPENTANE is a chemical compound also known as HDI isocyanurate. It is a diisocyanate compound that is used in the production of polyurethane products such as coatings, adhesives, sealants, and flexible and rigid foams. It is also used as a crosslinking agent in the production of high-performance coatings and elastomers. 1,5-DIISOCYANATO-2-METHYLPENTANE has low volatility, high stability, and high reactivity, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications. However, it is also a potential respiratory and skin irritant and should be handled with care in a well-ventilated area and with proper personal protective equipment.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 34813-62-2 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 3,4,8,1 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 34813-62:
(7*3)+(6*4)+(5*8)+(4*1)+(3*3)+(2*6)+(1*2)=112
112 % 10 = 2
So 34813-62-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

COSMETIC OR DERMATOLOGICAL COMPOSITION COMPRISING A POLYMER BEARING JUNCTION GROUPS, AND COSMETIC TREATMENT PROCESS

-

, (2010/10/03)

The present patent application relates to a cosmetic or dermatological composition comprising, in a cosmetically or dermatologically acceptable medium, a polymer comprising: (a) a polymer backbone that may be obtained by reaction: of a polyol comprising 3 to 6 hydroxyl groups;of a monocarboxylic acid containing 6 to 32 carbon atoms;of a polycarboxylic acid comprising at least two carboxylic groups COOH, and/or of a cyclic anhydride such as a polycarboxylic acid and/or of a lactone comprising at least one carboxylic group COOH; and(b) at least one junction group linked to the said polymer backbone and capable of establishing H bonds with one or more partner junction groups, each pairing of a junction group involving at least three H (hydrogen) bonds. The patent application also concerns a cosmetic treatment process using the said composition.

Process for preparing isocyanates

-

, (2008/06/13)

A process for preparing isocyanates comprising (a) contacting carbon dioxide and a primary amine in the presence of an aprotic organic solvent and an organic, nitrogenous base to produce the corresponding ammonium carbamate salt, and (b) reacting the ammonium carbamate salt with an electrophilic or oxophilic dehydrating agent to produce the corresponding isocyanate. A second embodiment comprises recovering the ammonium carbamate salt of step (a) prior to reacting the ammonium carbamate salt with an electrophilic or oxophilic dehydrating agent in the presence of an aprotic organic solvent and an organic, nitrogenous base.

Preparation of biureto polyisocyanates

-

, (2008/06/13)

Clear, precipitate-free, storage-stable biureto polyisocyanates, well adopted for paint applications, are prepared by reacting at least one aliphatic, alicyclic or arylaliphatic monomeric diisocyanate with water, at a temperature of at least 70° C. and under an absolute pressure of at least 1.2 bar, including a partial pressure of carbon dioxide of at least 0.2 bar.
