Usage

Description

2,6-Bis[(9,10-dihydro-9,10-dioxoanthracen-1-yl)amino]-9,10-anthracenedione is a complex organic compound with a dark yellow-red color. It exhibits slightly solubility in Xylene and is insoluble in Ethanol. When treated with concentrated sulfuric acid, it turns blue light green, and upon dilution, it results in a big red precipitation. In the basic insurance powder solution, it appears red brown, while in the acidic insurance powder solution, it shows an olive brown color.

Uses

Used in Textile Industry:
2,6-Bis[(9,10-dihydro-9,10-dioxoanthracen-1-yl)amino]-9,10-anthracenedione is used as a dye for the textile industry. Its unique color properties and solubility characteristics make it suitable for coloring various fabrics. It is particularly useful for Mercerized and Oxygen bleach processes, where it provides good colorfastness and resistance to fading, staining, and soaping.
Used in Standardization:
