Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 51517-45-4 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 5,1,5,1 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 51517-45:
(7*5)+(6*1)+(5*5)+(4*1)+(3*7)+(2*4)+(1*5)=104
104 % 10 = 4
So 51517-45-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

A near-infrared naphthofluorescein-based fluorescent probe for hydrogen sulfide detection

Chen, Weixing,Xie, Pu,Shan, Xixi,Zhao, Huaqi,Wu, Yao,Zhou, Hongwei,Jin, Xilang

, (2020)

A simple naphthofluorescein-based probe was designed and synthesized by a two-step method. As expected, there was a good linear relationship between fluorescence intensity (680 nm)/absorbance (640 nm) and H2S concentration in the range of 2.00–10.0 μM with a detection limit of 0.50 μM/0.10 μM (S/N = 3). This probe was applied to monitor H2S concentration in red wine samples. Furthermore, it was successfully used to image exogenous H2S in living Hela cells, indicating its potential application in biology and medicine.

, p. 5974 - 5976 (2005)

This paper reports the synthesis, fluorescence properties, and biological applications of naphthofluorescein disulfonate (NFDS-1), as a red fluorescence imaging probe to detect intracellular H2O2. The Royal Society of Chemistry 2005.
