PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition for an oxygen indicator wherein a reductant acts for the first time in high-temperature sterilization treatment and wherein a reducing color is exhibited when an oxygen concentration is 1% or less in a package body, an oxygen indicator using the same, and a packaging material containing the oxygen indicator. SOLUTION: The ink composition for the oxygen indicator contains a thermally stable coloring agent not discolored by the reductant other than a redox pigment, and a color tone thereof changed from an oxidizing color to the reducing color in the high-temperature sterilization treatment. The ink composition is applied or printed on a support to obtain the oxygen indicator. In this packaging material containing the oxygen indicator, the support is formed separately from an outer package forming the package, or the outer package forming the package serves as the support.
