Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 6196-71-0 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,1,9 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6196-71:
(6*6)+(5*1)+(4*9)+(3*6)+(2*7)+(1*1)=110
110 % 10 = 0
So 6196-71-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Rapid and Efficient Microwave-Assisted Hydrophosphinylation of Unactivated Alkenes with H -Phosphinic Acids without Added Metal or Radical Initiator

Troupa, Panagiota,Katsiouleri, Georgia,Vassiliou, Stamatia

supporting information, p. 2714 - 2719 (2015/11/27)

A microwave-assisted hydrophosphinylation of unactivated alkenes with phosphinic acid and its derivatives under metal-free and initiator-free conditions is reported. Such hydrophosphinylations are operationally simple, use aqueous hypophosphorus acid, H-phenylphosphinic acid, and H-alkylphosphinic acids, and seem to proceed by a radical mechanism. Good isolated yields were obtained using a reasonable excess of the appropriate reagent.

SYNTHESIS OF ACYCLIC AND CYLIC DIALKYLPHOSPHINIC ACIDS FROM AMMONIUM HYPOPHOSPHITE

Kurdyumova, N. R.,Ragulin, V. V.,Tsvetkov, E. N.

, p. 380 - 383 (2007/10/02)

The possibilities of synthesizing dialkylphosphinic and cyclic phosphinic acids from ammonium hypophosphite, hexamethyldisilazane, and corresponding halogen derivatives have been studied. These acids can be prepared in low yield, but the simplicity of the process compensates for this disadvantage.
