Description
Sodium 4-hydroxy-5-[(2-methoxy-4-nitrophenyl)azo]-6-(phenylamino)naphthalene-2-sulphonate is a blue and black powder that is soluble in water, ethanol, and strong sulfuric acid, resulting in purple to blue-black colors. It is a dye that is primarily used for wool fabric and wool/rayon blended fabric dyeing, offering good pitch-black degree and high fastness. It is also used in leather dyeing.
