Disodium 1-amino-9,10-dihydro-4-[(4-methyl-2-sulphonatophenyl)amino]-9,10-dioxoanthracene-2-sulphonate is a water-soluble, blue-colored compound that is also soluble in ethanol and soluble fiber element. It is insoluble in benzene and chloroform organic solvents. The strong sulfuric acid in the compound causes the color to become more diluted when diluted.
