6428-31-5 Usage
Description
Direct Black 19 is a black powder that is soluble in water, producing a green light black color with a solubility of 100 g/L at 80°C. It is slightly soluble in ethanol and acetone. When exposed to strong sulfuric acid, it turns green and then dark black upon dilution, while in nitric acid, it turns dark brown. The dye also exhibits a 10% red color in a sulfuric acid solution and turns green light blue when a thick sodium hydroxide solution is added. The presence of copper ions in the dyeing process results in a green color shade, while iron ions cause a slight color change.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 6428-31-5 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,4,2 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6428-31:
(6*6)+(5*4)+(4*2)+(3*8)+(2*3)+(1*1)=95
95 % 10 = 5
So 6428-31-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
