69952-89-2 Usage
General Description
N,N'-bis(3-triethoxysilylpropyl)thiourea is a chemical compound that is commonly used as a coupling agent in the production of rubber and plastic composites. It is a type of organosilane compound, featuring two triethoxysilylpropyl groups attached to a central thiourea molecule. This structure allows the compound to effectively bond to both inorganic materials such as glass, metal, and fillers, as well as organic materials such as rubber, plastic, and other polymers. As a coupling agent, it improves the adhesion and compatibility between these materials, leading to enhanced mechanical properties and performance of the composite materials. Additionally, its silane functionality can also provide water repellency and corrosion resistance to various substrates. Due to its versatile applications, N,N'-bis(3-triethoxysilylpropyl)thiourea is widely used in the rubber and plastics industry.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 69952-89-2 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 6,9,9,5 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 69952-89:
(7*6)+(6*9)+(5*9)+(4*5)+(3*2)+(2*8)+(1*9)=192
192 % 10 = 2
So 69952-89-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

A synthesis of thiourea-bridged mesoporous organosilica is reported. Using transmission electron microscopy, low-angle XRD measurements and N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms the formation of a highly ordered mesoporous structure with a high surface area (>400 m2 g-1) has been confirmed. Deposition of Pd nanoparticles inside the mesopores resulted in a material that showed excellent catalytic activity in a Suzuki-coupling reaction and retained this activity over several consecutive runs.
