Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 738518-26-8 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 7,3,8,5,1 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 738518-26:
(8*7)+(7*3)+(6*8)+(5*5)+(4*1)+(3*8)+(2*2)+(1*6)=188
188 % 10 = 8
So 738518-26-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

In this article, benzyl 2-deoxy-2-salicylideneamino-α-D-glucopyranoside (H2SalHGlc), a sugar-based Schiff-base ligand, as well as four of its derivatives including H2Sal5-BrGlc, H2Sal3,5-tBu/sup

Direct glycosylation of unprotected and unactivated sugars using bismuth nitrate pentahydrate

Polanki, Innaiah K.,Kurma, Siva H.,Bhattacharya, Asish K.

, p. 196 - 205 (2015/06/08)

Bi(NO3)3, a low-cost, mild, and environmentally green catalyst, has been successfully utilized for Fischer glycosylation for the synthesis of alkyl/aryl glycopyranosides by reacting unprotected sugars, namely, D-glucose, L-rhamnose, D-galactose, D-arabinose, and N-acetyl-D-glucosamine with various alcohols in good to excellent yields. The glycosides were formed with high α-selectivity. Further, an expedient separation of α- and β-glycosides using silver nitrate-impregnated silica gel flash liquid chromatography has been developed.

Cross-functionalities of Bacillus deacetylases involved in bacillithiol biosynthesis and bacillithiol-S-conjugate detoxification pathways

Fang, Zhong,Roberts, Alexandra A.,Weidman, Karissa,Sharma, Sunil V.,Claiborne, Al,Hamilton, Christopher J.,Dos Santos, Patricia C.

, p. 239 - 247 (2013/09/02)

BshB, a key enzyme in bacillithiol biosynthesis, hydrolyses the acetyl group from N-acetylglucosamine malate to generate glucosamine malate. In Bacillus anthracis, BA1557 has been identified as the N-acetylglucosamine malate deacetylase (BshB); however, a
