Evidence for Organoironcarbonylate Anion Formation in Nucleophilic Addition to Tetracarbonyliron Complexes of Acrylate Esters
Roberts, Bryan W.,Ross, Mark,Wong, Janice
, p. 428 - 429 (1980)
Sequential addition of stabilized anions and alkyl iodides to tetracarbonyliron complexes of methyl acrylate and methyl crotonate affords products consistent with regiospecific generation and alkylation of an organoironcarbonylate anion intermediate.
Surface-Mediated Phase Reaction: Dramatic Improvement of Michael Reaction on the Surface of Alumina
Ranu, Brindaban C.,Bhar, Sanjay
, p. 1327 - 1332 (2007/10/02)
The Michael reaction of several 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds, nitroalkanes, and thiols as donors with methl vinyl ketone, acrolein, methyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, and mesityl oxide as acceptors on the surface of alumina without any solvent proceed very efficiently and furnish high yield of adducts. Key Words: Michael reaction; Al2O3; dramatic improvement
