7790-53-6 Usage
Chemical Properties
White powder.Soluble in dilute
acids; slightly soluble in water.
Uses
Potassium Metaphosphate is a substitute for sodium phosphate in
low-sodium foods. it also functions as a fermentation nutrient and
buffer.
Agricultural Uses
Potassium metaphosphate is the salt of metaphosphoric
acid. It is a readily available source of phosphorus and
potassium to plants, and comprises 60% phosphorus and
40% potassium (K2O). When pure, it contains almost
100% plant food. Potassium metaphosphate,
K6(PO3)6?H2O, is made by reacting phosphorus pentoxide
(P2O5) with potassium chloride (KCl) at a high
temperature. It is slightly soluble in water and makes
phosphate available after hydrolysis. Although slightly
soluble in water, it is readily soluble in ammonium citrate
solution.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 7790-53-6 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 7,7,9 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 7790-53:
(6*7)+(5*7)+(4*9)+(3*0)+(2*5)+(1*3)=126
126 % 10 = 6
So 7790-53-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
