Description
Mirodenafil, also known as Mvix, is a second-generation phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor (PDE5i) that was launched in Korea in November 2007. It is available in tablet formulation or orally dissolving film of 50 and 100 mg. Mirodenafil has been approved only in Korea and has a Tmax of 1.25 hours, T1/2 of 2.5 hours, and an IC50 for PDE5 of 0.34 nmol/L, indicating a relatively high affinity (potency) for PDE5. While its pharmacokinetic profile is similar to that of sildenafil, mirodenafil is 10 times more selective for PDE5 than sildenafil.
Uses
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
Mirodenafil is used as a PDE5 inhibitor for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. Its high affinity and selectivity for PDE5 make it an effective treatment option for patients with erectile dysfunction.
Used in Research and Development:
Mirodenafil is also used in research and development for the study of PDE5 and its role in various physiological processes. Its high potency and selectivity for PDE5 make it a valuable tool for investigating the mechanisms of action and potential therapeutic applications of PDE5 inhibitors.
Biological Activity
Mirodenafil (SK3530) is an orally active, highly potent and selective phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) inhibitor (IC50 = 338 pM). with therapeutic efficacy in various ED models in vivo. Comparing to sildenafil, mirodenafil shows ~10-times higher PDE5 selectivity in vitro and remains longer in the plasma and corpus cavernosum following oral dosing at 40 mg/kg in rats in vivo.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 862189-95-5 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 8,6,2,1,8 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 862189-95:
(8*8)+(7*6)+(6*2)+(5*1)+(4*8)+(3*9)+(2*9)+(1*5)=205
205 % 10 = 5
So 862189-95-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
