Description

TOLU BALSAM is a resinous material obtained from Myroxylon samum, a tree native to South America, particularly in regions like the Magdalena River Valley and Nueva Granada in Venezuela. It is a viscous, pale-yellow to light-orange oil with a sweet, resinous, and long-lasting odor reminiscent of hyacinth. The balsam is produced by extracting the plant exudate from incisions made on the trunk, which is then collected in cups placed at different heights along the trunk. The balsam is a semisolid plastic mass, brown or brownish-yellow, and has an agreeable, sweet, and persistent odor similar to vanilla. TOLU BALSAM is known for its fixative properties in perfumery and contains a fairly large amount of benzyl and cinnamyl esters of benzoic and cinnamic acid.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 9000-64-0 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 9,0,0 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 9000-64:
(6*9)+(5*0)+(4*0)+(3*0)+(2*6)+(1*4)=70
70 % 10 = 0
So 9000-64-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
