Preparation of 9-Octadecenoic acid(9Z)-, 1,1'-anhydride: It can be prepared by octadec-9-enoic acid. This reaction will need reagents 2-chloro-1,3-dimethylimidazolinium chloride and Et₃N, and the solvent CH₂Cl₂. The reaction time is 43 hours with temperature of 20°C, and the yield is about 57%.
