Barium metaborate Uses

Barium metaborate (CAS NO.13701-59-2) can be used for the primer and topcoat in the paint industry, and also used in ceramics, paper, rubber and plastics industries. It is a new type of anti-rust pigments.

Barium metaborate Production

Take the mixture of Barite with pulverized coal firing; after the flooding by thermal extraction, and then with the Borax solution and sodium Silicate in aqueous solution into the respective reactor. Keep them in device closed, and heated to 110°C ± 5°C, and stirred for reacting 2 h, and then take them cooled to 70 ~ 80°C. Sediment is dealed by centrifugation, washing, drying, and grinding to get Barium metaborate (CAS NO.13701-59-2).
