Chromium yellow is neutral lead chromate, a very beautiful slightly warm color, toxic and somewhat carcinogenic. The lead chromate produced according to different production methods can range from the lightest lemon yellow, light yellow, medium yellow, dark yellow up to orange. The chromium yellow marketed are noted with chromium color, such as medium chromium yellow. The stability of chrome yellow varies significantly with its color, the darker the color, the more durable it is, while light chrome yellow will darken with heat or age. Chrome yellow and the stability of the general blue blend will improve, but the chrome yellow can not be mixed with the color with sulfur, easy to darken and black after tuning. Chrome yellow can not be mixed with lead white.
