101626-70-4 Usage
Description
TALIPEXOLE, also known as Domin, is a selective agonist for presynaptic dopamine D2 receptors with no D1 receptor activity. It is a clonidine-like α2-adrenoreptor agonist and has fewer gastrointestinal side effects than bromocriptine, the most widely used dopamine agonist. TALIPEXOLE is 70 times more potent than bromocriptine and has a more rapid onset of action. It also exhibits sedative effects and 5-HT3 receptor antagonistic activity, with no emesis or development of tolerance. Its metabolites have no biological activity, and its effect can be enhanced by L-dopa.
Uses
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
TALIPEXOLE is used as an antiparkinson agent for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. It works by selectively activating presynaptic dopamine D2 receptors, leading to improved motor function and reduced tremors in patients with Parkinson's disease.
Used in Neurological Applications:
TALIPEXOLE is used as a sedative to provide a calming effect and improve sleep quality in patients with neurological disorders.
Used in Gastrointestinal Applications:
TALIPEXOLE is used as a treatment for gastrointestinal side effects, as it has fewer GI side effects compared to other dopamine agonists like bromocriptine.
Used in Antemetic Applications:
TALIPEXOLE is used as an antiemetic agent due to its 5-HT3 receptor antagonistic activity, which helps prevent vomiting and nausea in patients undergoing treatment for various conditions.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 101626-70-4 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,0,1,6,2 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 101626-70:
(8*1)+(7*0)+(6*1)+(5*6)+(4*2)+(3*6)+(2*7)+(1*0)=84
84 % 10 = 4
So 101626-70-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
