General Description

N-Isobutylmorpholine is a chemical compound that is used as a corrosion inhibitor and as a selective surfactant in oil and gas production. It is a substituted morpholine derivative that is commonly used in water-based drilling fluids to prevent corrosion of metal equipment in oil and gas wells. It functions by forming a protective film on metal surfaces, thereby preventing the corrosive action of water and other substances. N-Isobutylmorpholine is also used as an additive in industrial water treatment processes to prevent the formation of scale and corrosion in boilers and cooling systems.
