Description

Iloprost-d4 (Major) is a labeled synthetic analogue of Prostacyclin (PGI2), a naturally occurring prostaglandin with various physiological effects. It is primarily used for its vasodilatory, antiplatelet, and hypotensive properties, making it a valuable compound in the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), scleroderma, Raynaud's phenomenon, and ischemia.

Iloprost-d4 (Major) is used as a therapeutic agent for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), scleroderma, Raynaud's phenomenon, and ischemia. It functions by elevating cAMP levels through binding to the prostacyclin receptor (IP receptor), which helps in vasodilation and reducing blood pressure.
Iloprost-d4 (Major) is used as an antiplatelet agent for inhibiting the ADP, thrombin, and collagen-induced aggregation of human platelets with an ED50 of about 13 nM. This property helps in preventing blood clot formation and improving blood flow in patients with vascular disorders.
In whole animals, Iloprost-d4 (Major) is used as a vasodilator, hypotensive, antidiuretic, and for prolonging bleeding time. These effects contribute to its therapeutic benefits in managing various cardiovascular and vascular conditions.
