Series of 1-(1,2-benzisothiazol-3-yl)ureas, 1-(3-methoxy-1,2-benzisothiazol-5-yl)ureas and 1-(3-methoxy-1,2-benzisothiazol-7-yl)ureas were prepared and tested for phytotoxic activity.The new substances were tested, using techniques reported previously, against a group of representative weeds and useful plants.Some of the studied compounds showed high phytotoxicity in post emergence tests.
