General Description
3-Chloro-4-ethyl-4H-1,2,4-benzothiadiazin-1,1-dioxide, also known as acetazolamide, is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C4H6ClN3O2S. It is a white crystalline powder with a bitter taste and is primarily used as a diuretic or to treat glaucoma. Acetazolamide works by decreasing the production of fluid in the eye, which helps to lower the intraocular pressure. It is also used to prevent and treat symptoms of acute mountain sickness, as it helps to decrease the buildup of bodily fluids, thereby reducing symptoms such as headache, tiredness, and shortness of breath at high altitudes. Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 107089-77-0 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,0,7,0,8 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 107089-77:
(8*1)+(7*0)+(6*7)+(5*0)+(4*8)+(3*9)+(2*7)+(1*7)=130
130 % 10 = 0
So 107089-77-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
