The novel method for synthesizing ioxilan comprises the step of performing reactions such as acetic anhydride protection, ester exchange, iodination and alkylation to obtain ioxilan by taking 5-amino-N-(2-hydroxyl ethyl)-m-formamide methyl benzoate as a raw material. The invention provides an improved ioxilan synthetic method and a process easy for industrialized purification and solvent recrystallization. The invention provides the ioxilan synthesizing method which is more environment-friendly, cheap, high in yield and high in purity by taking 5-amino-N-(2-hydroxyl ethyl)-m-formamide methyl benzoate as the raw material.
