pressure of 3000 psi. Practically insoluble in water,
alcohol, ether, benzene, and carbon tetrachloride;
slightly hygroscopic.
Uses
Initiating explosive.
Safety Profile
Many nitrosamines are carcinogens. A very dangerous fire hazard. A shockand heat-sensitive high explosive that evolves much flame. Highly dangerous. Upon decomposition it emits lxghly toxic fumes of NOx. See also NITROSAMINES and EXPLOSIVES, HIGH.
