Conversion of nucleophilic halides to electrophilic halides: Efficient and selective halogenation of azinones, amides, and carbonyl compounds using metal halide/lead tetraacetate
Kim, Jeum-Jong,Kweon, Deok-Heon,Cho, Su-Dong,Kim, Ho-Kyun,Lee, Sang-Gyeong,Yoon, Yong-Jin
, p. 194 - 200 (2006)
AlCl3/Pb(OAc)4 and ZnBr2/Pb(OAc) 4 are efficient electrophilic N- and α-C-halogenating agents. A variety of azinones, amides and carbonyl compounds were chemoselectively and regioselectively N-, or α-C-halogenated in good to excellent yield using AlCl3/Pb(OAc)4 and ZnBr2/Pb(OAc)4 in acetonitrile. Green molecular transformation by a B12-TiO2 hybrid catalyst as an alternative to tributyltin hydride
Shimakoshi, Hisashi,Abiru, Makoto,Izumi, Shin-Ichiro,Hisaeda, Yoshio
supporting information; experimental part, p. 6427 - 6429 (2010/03/04)
The B12-TiO2 hybrid catalyst was effectively used for the radical reactions, such as 1,2-migrations of phenyl groups and acyl groups under irradiation by UV light, and the selectivity of the reaction was controlled by the solvent system.
