A new method for manufacturing an isoxazoline compound represented by formula (9): wherein R1 represents a C1-C12 alkyl group optionally having one or more halogen atoms or a C3-C12 cycloalkyl group optionally having one or more halogen atoms, R2 represents a C1-C6 alkyl group optionally having one or more halogen atoms or a halogen atom, R3 represents a halogen atom or a hydrogen atom, and m represents an integer of 0 to 5 (when m is an integer of 2 to 5, R2s may be different from one another), and an intermediate for the manufacturing method are provided.
