The invention discloses a preparation method for 2,3-dihydro-1,4-dioxo[2,3-b]pyridine-7-carboxylic acid. The preparation method comprises the following steps: dissolving 7-bromo-2,3-dihydro[1,4]dioxino[2,3-b]pyridine into a solvent; adding a cyaniding reagent and reacting to obtain 2,3-dihydro[1,4]dioxino[2,3-b]pyridine-7-carbonitrile; and dissolving the prepared 2,3-dihydro[1,4]dioxino[2,3-b]pyridine-7-carbonitrile in an alkaline solution so as to obtain the 2,3-dihydro-1,4-dioxo[2,3-b]pyridine-7-carboxylic acid. According to the preparation method disclosed by the invention, the 2,3-dihydro-1,4-dioxo[2,3-b]pyridine-7-carboxylic acid is synthesized for the first time and a foundation is provided for preparation and application of pharmaceutical intermediates; the preparation method for the 2,3-dihydro-1,4-dioxo[2,3-b]pyridine-7-carboxylic acid, provided by the invention, has the advantages of short reaction steps, high yield and simplicity in operation and is suitable for large-scaleproduction.
