131580-36-4 Usage
Description
Calystegine A3, a natural product derived from various plant species, is predominantly found in the sprouts and tubers of potatoes. It is a unique compound with specific properties that make it a potential candidate for therapeutic applications.
Uses
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
Calystegine A3 is used as a therapeutic agent for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Its presence in potato cultivars can be influenced by external factors such as wounding, light, and heat treatments, which may have implications for its potential use in diabetes management.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 131580-36-4 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,3,1,5,8 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 131580-36:
(8*1)+(7*3)+(6*1)+(5*5)+(4*8)+(3*0)+(2*3)+(1*6)=104
104 % 10 = 4
So 131580-36-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Chiral pool synthesis of calystegine A3 from 2-deoxyglucose via a Brown allylation
Rasmussen, Tina Secher,Jensen, Henrik Helligs?
experimental part, p. 2855 - 2861 (2012/01/04)
Calystegine A3 is a naturally occurring nortropane iminosugar of which there previously have been three total syntheses. Inspired by our previous work we here report on a fourth approach using 17 steps from 2-deoxy-d-glucose applying a diastereoselective allylation protocol.
