1324-55-6 Usage
Description
Vat Violet 1 is a brilliant blue-purple pigment in the form of a puce powder. It is soluble in various organic solvents such as benzene, chloroform, 2-chlorophenol, nitrobenzene, pyridine, 1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalene, toluene, and xylene, but insoluble in ethanol and acetone. When treated with concentrated sulfuric acid, it turns green and upon dilution, it becomes purple with precipitation. Alkaline reduction results in a leuco form that is blue, while acid reduction yields a leuco form that is red light purple.
Uses
Used in Textile Industry:
Vat Violet 1 is used as a dye for cotton, linen, synthetic fiber, and silk. It is suitable for dyeing and printing processes, as well as for viscose/cotton, vinylon/cotton blended fabric dyeing and polyester/cotton blended fabric two-bath process set of dye. It is also applicable to fabric direct printing and vat blue, reducing ash spell dyed dark blue or dark gray.
Used in Organic Pigment and Plastic Colorant Manufacturing:
Vat Violet 1 can be processed into organic pigments and plastic colorants, expanding its applications beyond the textile industry.
Standard:
Vat Violet 1 has been tested for various standards, including ironing fastness (ISO 2, AATCC 2), chlorine bleach (ISO 5, AATCC 4-5), light fastness (ISO 5-6, AATCC 6-7), mercerized (ISO 4, AATCC 3), oxygen bleach (ISO 4-5, AATCC 5), and soaping (ISO 4-5, AATCC 4-5). These standards indicate the performance and durability of the pigment in different conditions and treatments.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 1324-55-6 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 1,3,2 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1324-55:
(6*1)+(5*3)+(4*2)+(3*4)+(2*5)+(1*5)=56
56 % 10 = 6
So 1324-55-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
