Description

Barium pyrophosphate, with the molecular formula Ba2P2O7 and a molecular weight of 448.5973 g/mol, is a white powdery compound. BARIUM PYROPHOSPHATE can be prepared through the solid-state reaction of dibasic orthophosphate or by the precipitation of a soluble barium salt with aqueous pyrophosphoric acid, resulting in a dihydrate form, Ba2P2O7·2H2O.
