Description
3-Hydroxy-N-2-naphthyl-2-naphthamide is a yellowish powder with a solubility point of 243 to 244 degrees Celsius. It is insoluble in water and sodium carbonate but soluble in chlorobenzene and a hydrogen oxide yellow liquid. 3-Hydroxy-N-2-naphthyl-2-naphthamide exhibits good stability in the presence of air.
Uses
Used in Textile Industry:
3-Hydroxy-N-2-naphthyl-2-naphthamide is used as a dyeing agent for cotton, cotton yarn, and bath towels. It is also suitable for dyeing PVA (polyvinyl alcohol), viscose, silk, and polyamide fibers. However, it is generally not used for printing purposes. The compound has a high affinity for cotton and a medium coupling ability.
