The invention relates to a dimethyl anthracene type organic compound and an application thereof. The structure of the compound is as follows: dimethyl anthracene is connected with carbazole ring structure through a carbon-carbon bond; the carbon-carbon bond is capable of promoting the chemical stability of the material and preventing the active position of branch group from being bare; the whole molecule has a high rigid structure and has high triplet state energy level (T1); the steric hindrance is large, the structure is difficult to rotate and the three-dimensional space structure is more stable, so that the compound has higher glass transition temperature and molecular heat stability; besides, the HOMO and LUMO distribution positions of the compound provided by the invention are separated from each other, so that the compound has suitable HOMO and LUMO energy level; and thus, the luminous efficiency and service life of the device can be effectively increased after the compound provided by the invention is applied to an OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) device.
