ALPHA1-ANTICHYMOTRYPSIN, HUMAN, also known as SERPINA3 or α-1-antichymotrypsin (ACT or AACT), is a protein that belongs to the serpin superfamily of protease inhibitors. It contains 423 amino acids and is involved in inhibiting the activity of various proteases, such as pancreatic chymotrypsin, leukocyte, cathepsin G, mast cell chymases, human glandular kallikrein 2, and kallikrein 3.
