Photodecarbonylation of 2(3H)-Thiophenones
Hinrichs, Heiko,Margaretha, Paul
, p. 2311 - 2318 (2007/10/02)
Light-induced (300 nm) loss of CO converts 2(3H)-thiophenones to either thietes, thiophenes, homothiophenes, or thiopyrans, the product distribution being strongly influenced by the alkyl substitution pattern on the thiolactone. Key Words: Photochemistry / Thietes / Thiophenes / Homothiophenes / 2H-Thiins
