150374-95-1 Usage
Description
N-[2-[[[4-(2,2-Dimethyl-1-oxopropoxy)phenyl]sulfonyl]amino]benzoyl]-(S)-glycine monosodium salt, also known as Sivelestat sodium, is a pharmaceutical compound with potent anti-inflammatory and anti-neutrophil elastase properties. It is derived from the class of compounds known as serine protease inhibitors, specifically targeting neutrophil elastase. N-[2-[[[4-(2,2-Dimethyl-1-oxopropoxy)phenyl]sulfonyl]amino]benzoyl]-(S)-glycine monosodium salt has been synthesized to have a monosodium salt form, which enhances its solubility and bioavailability in biological systems.
Uses
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
Sivelestat sodium is used as an inhibitor of neutrophil elastase for the treatment of severe acute pneumonitis caused by gefitinib. Neutrophil elastase is an enzyme that can cause tissue damage when its activity is uncontrolled, and Sivelestat sodium helps to regulate its activity, thus mitigating the severity of pneumonitis in patients undergoing treatment with gefitinib, a tyrosine kinase inhibitor used for certain types of cancer.
Additionally, due to its anti-inflammatory and anti-neutrophil elastase properties, Sivelestat sodium holds potential for further therapeutic applications in various inflammatory and lung-related conditions. However, its uses in these areas would require additional research and clinical trials to establish safety and efficacy.
Biological Activity
Selective leukocyte elastase inhibitor (IC 50 = 44 nM) that displays no activity at a range of other proteases. Inhibits NF- κ B activation and LTB 4 -induced neutrophil transmigration in vitro . Significantly attenuates ischemia-induced spinal cord injury, decreases serum cytokine levels and reduces acute inflammatory lung injury in vivo .
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 150374-95-1 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,5,0,3,7 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 150374-95:
(8*1)+(7*5)+(6*0)+(5*3)+(4*7)+(3*4)+(2*9)+(1*5)=121
121 % 10 = 1
So 150374-95-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
