General Description

4-(2-Octylamino)diphenylamine, also known as octylated diphenylamine, is an aromatic amine antioxidant and antiozonant. It is commonly used in the rubber industry as a stabilizer to prevent degradation from oxygen and ozone exposure. This chemical compound is added to rubber products such as tires, hoses, and seals to extend their service life and improve their performance. 4-(2-Octylamino)diphenylamine works by scavenging free radicals and inhibiting the oxidation process that leads to the deterioration of rubber materials. The present invention relates to a synthesis method of an anti-aging agent NN-sec-octyl-N'-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine. The method is characterized in that 2-octanone and 4-aminodiphenylamine are adopted as basic raw materials, a continuous condensation hydrogenation reaction is performed in a fixed bed in the presence of a catalyst to obtain a mixture containing N-sec-octyl-N'-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine, and a purification treatment is performed to obtain N-sec-octyl-N'-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine. According to the present invention, the method is different from the previous method using the nickel catalyst kettle type intermittent reaction, the fixed bed device is used and the copper catalyst is used to carry out the continuous hydrogenation reaction, and the method is suitable for industrial continuous production.
