General Description
2,3-Quinoxalinedione, 1,4-dihydro-6-iodo- is an organic compound with the chemical formula C8H6N2O2I. It is a derivative of quinoxalinedione and contains a 6-iodo substituent. 2,3-QUINOXALINEDIONE, 1,4-DIHYDRO-6-IODO- is commonly used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and as a building block for organic chemistry reactions. It has been studied for its potential biological activity, particularly as an antitumor and antimicrobial agent. The 6-iodo substitution on the quinoxalinedione core may contribute to its reactivity and pharmacological properties, making it a valuable compound for further research and development in the pharmaceutical industry.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 153505-30-7 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,5,3,5,0 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 153505-30:
(8*1)+(7*5)+(6*3)+(5*5)+(4*0)+(3*5)+(2*3)+(1*0)=107
107 % 10 = 7
So 153505-30-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

An efficient oxidation reaction of various electron-poor quinoxaline-core-containing compounds, such as quinoxalines, 1,4,5,8-tetraazaphenanthrenes, and 1,4,5,8,9,12-hexaazatriphenylene, using [bis(trifluoroacetoxy)iodo]benzene is reported. These compounds are converted into the corresponding quinoxalinediones in good to high yields at room temperature using an acetonitrile/water solvent mixture. This unprecedented reaction should enable the synthesis of a wide variety of compounds useful in several fields of chemistry.
