The complexes (L = Me2S, Me2Se, Me2Te, Ph2S, Ph2Se or Ph2Te) and PF6 have been prepared and characterised by analysis, IR, and in particular multinuclear NMR spectroscopy (1H, 77Se, 125Te and 63Cu).Variable-temperature NMR studies have been used to probe various exchange processes occurring in solution. For a limited number of complexes 63Cu NMR resonances have been observed, the first examples from Group 16 donor complexes.
