SYNTHESIS OF NEW THIOUREAS DERIVATIVES OF Δ2-1,2,4-TRIAZOLINE-5-THIONE AND 1,3,4-THIADIAZOLE

In the reaction of hydrazide of aminoacetic acid with two moles of aromatic isothiocyanates the new thioureas derivatives of thiosemicarbazide were obtained .The cyclization of these derivatives with 2percent and 10percent NaOH solution led to formation of new thioureas derivatives of Δ2-1,2,4-triazoline-5-thione , whereas the cyclization with anhydrous acetic acid to formation of new thioureas derivatives of 1,3,4-thiadiazole -XIX>.The thioureas derivatives of 1,3,4-thiadiazole were obtained also in the reaction of direct cyclization of hydrazide of aminoacetic acid with two moles of aromatic or aliphatic isothiocyanates as well as with two moles of ethoxycarbonylmethyl isothiocyanate.Keywords: Δ2-1,2,4-triazoline-5-thione and 1,3,4-thiadiazole derivatives, synthesis
