REACTIVE BLACK 5, also known as C.I. Reactive Black 5, is a bis(azo) compound with two aryldiazenyl moieties placed at positions 2 and 7 of a multi-substituted naphthalene. It belongs to the class of textile azo dyes and can be biodegraded by the laccase enzyme in Ganoderma lucidum.
