A new procedure was developed for preparation of free glycopeptides of glycyrrhizic acid, using the principle of "minimal protection" of the amino component. Condensation of the glycoside with amino acids and dipeptides was effected with the aid of activated ester obtained by treating glycyrrhizic acid with the "F complex." Carboxylic groups in the amino components were temporarily protected via conversion into the sodium salts.
