General Description
2,4-DIAMINOMETHYL-1,5-DIMETHYLBENZENE, also known as xylylenediamine or XDA, is a chemical compound commonly used in a variety of industrial applications. It is a primary intermediate for the production of engineering plastics, such as polyamides and epoxy resins, as well as for the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and agricultural chemicals. Xylylenediamine is also used as a curing agent in epoxy coatings and adhesives, as well as in the production of polyurethane elastomers and foams. It is a colorless liquid with a faint amine odor and is highly soluble in water. Xylylenediamine is considered to have low acute toxicity, but exposure to high concentrations can cause irritation to the skin, eyes, and respiratory system. Therefore, proper handling and personal protective equipment are recommended when working with this chemical.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 1889-05-0 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 1,8,8 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1889-05:
(6*1)+(5*8)+(4*8)+(3*9)+(2*0)+(1*5)=110
110 % 10 = 0
So 1889-05-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
